As the 4th quarter began, the Raiders needed to respond, and the response came in the form of a 74-yard touchdown catch and run by eventual game MVP Donte Whitaker. The Bulldogs fought hard to regain momentum but the tough Raiders' defense and miscues by the Bulldogs' offense allowed the Raiders to continue to pull away. In the end, the Raiders were too much for the Bulldogs and got the “W” with a 36-8 victory in the historic 50th match up game.

Out of the break, Harlingen’s defense held strong, stopping San Benito and forcing a field goal. Fired up, the Cardinals’ offense capitalized, finding the end zone again to close the gap to a single possession. But the Greyhounds’ defense wouldn’t be denied, forcing fumbles in critical moments and maintaining a tenacious front that prevented any further Cardinal rallies. The annual “Battle For Arizona Avenue” in Chandler, AZ was an intense showdown between the Hamilton Huskies and Chandler Wolves. Hamilton entered the matchup with only one loss on the season compared to Chandler's four, leading many to assume a blowout was in the making. Despite these assumptions, the Chandler Wolves did not back down without a fight. The Wolves stung together two massive defensive stops against the Huskies “air-raid” offense. Hamilton could not be contained for long as they strung together a touchdown, a fumble recovery on the goal line, and another touchdown to take a 14-0 lead.  The Wolves took some punches but they responded well and finally muscled in a score of their own. The Huskies offense would not relent and posted their third touchdown of the half on the following drive. As things seemed to be slipping away, the Wolves ended the half by throwing a touchdown as time expired to bring the score to 21-14. However, this one-score contest was short-lived due Hamilton’s very powerful offense. The Huskies scored five straight in the second half and shut out the Chandler offense in the process. Quarterback Rich Lucero had an incredible performance, throwing 4 touchdowns and earning The Great American Rivalry Series’ MVP award. Despite a back-and-forth first half, the Huskies rallied to capture a resounding 56-14 victory.
