GAME SUMMARY

The Wauwatosa West Trojans and Wauwatosa East Red Raiders faced off once again in a heated contest between these two crosstown rivals. This highly anticipated matchup was explosive from the start as the Raiders posted a massive 81-yard touchdown run early in the first quarter. Wauwatosa West responded appropriately with a 75-yard touchdown pass that set the tone for a proper shootout. The teams would trade scores in the second quarter, with each squad posting a 50+ yard touchdown on the ground. The Trojans took the lead in the third quarter and carried it into the final minutes of the game until the Raiders struck back with another touchdown to even the score at 21-21. Then, in their own territory with less than two minutes left on the clock, the Trojans took the ultimate risk by going for it on 4th and 6. Their gamble paid off, not with a first down, but with a ground-shaking 65-yard touchdown run that caused the Wauwatosa West fans to tear into a frenzy. The Raiders could not muster a comeback in the final seconds and left the field empty-handed. Wauwatosa West wins 28-21 in a memorable matchup.
