Get ready for another electrifying Friday night under the lights! The Saint Francis Lancers are gearing up to defend their home turf at Ron Calcagno Stadium as they face off against the Bellarmine College Prep Bells in the historic “Holy War.” Last year, the Lancers defeated the Bells 28-10, extending their win streak against this fierce rival to six games. 

This storied rivalry, dating back to 1958, sees Bellarmine College Prep leading the series 41-35, making this matchup the 77th in their storied history, including playoff encounters. Both schools have a rich tradition of producing top-tier talent, with each having at least 10 players drafted to the NFL.  

As we mark the 21st season of the Great American Rivalry Series, this game is set to embody everything that makes high school football thrilling. Expect a showcase of intense competition, passionate fans, and a display of what true rivalry is all about. This is more than just a game—it’s a celebration of tradition and talent.

Trevor is a 4-year member of the football team and one of the hardest working members in the program. In the off-season he helps coach youth football with Next Level. In the classroom Trevor is a distinguished student as he has taken several AP classes while maintaining athletics and academics.

Bellarmine College Prep

In addition to being a 3-year varsity football player, Ciaran competes on the varsity track and field and wrestling teams while maintaining a 4.1 GPA. He has been a part of the Athletes For Justice (AFJ) community service group and been a Big Brother on campus contributing to the community events held by the school. Ciaran truly embodies the mission of the school, men for and with others.

GAME SUMMARY

In this long standing gridiron match up, Saint Francis squared off against Bellarmine College Prep in their rivalry football game that showcased both teams' exceptional skills. Saint Francis took an early lead, going up 13-0 in the first quarter, thanks to a balanced offensive attack, and never took their foot off the pedal the rest of the game. Grant Righellis led the charge for Saint Francis with 83 receiving yards and two touchdowns, including a stunning 65-yard catch that showcased his speed. Bellarmine's defense didn't make it easy for Saint Francis, staying aggressive and executing on some crucial plays that kept the contest competitive despite the score. As the game unfolded, however, the Lancers were just too much for the Bells in this edition of the "Holy War" winning 48-7 and extending their win streak to seven games on another Great American Friday Night!
