GAME SUMMARY

The Battle for the Bell was nothing short of spectacular. Both teams showed their defensive prowess to set the tone for the game resulting in no points in the first quarter. Early in the second quarter, Mead's offense would show that they were only getting started. Led by their senior Quarterback and Scholar Athlete, Jaeland Leman, the Panthers started to pounce at every opportunity to get within scoring range. Mead found the endzone multiple times, resulting in a commanding 27-0 lead early in the 4th quarter. The Wildcats would not go away, however, displaying a resolve that is only fitting for a rivalry game negating Mead's hopes of a shutout with a late 4th quarter touchdown. Ultimately, the Battle for the Bell would go to the Panthers in a convincing win!
