The two teams faced off once again in the 21st season of the Great American Rivalry Series at Warrior Stadium. Since 1959 this rivalry has showcased tradition and pride to see which team gets to go home with bragging rights for the year. From start to finish this game was a battle as Warren Central started off with a couple big runs by eventual game MVP Marcus Bell. These plays went on to help put the Warriors at the goal line that would result in a QB sneak for a touchdown followed by a 2-point conversion to put them up 8-0. Carmel tried to respond but struggled to get anything going as Warren Central's defense continued to hold them. Warren Central's run game continued to dominate as they ended up rushing for another touchdown to put the Warriors up 15-0 in the first quarter. Carmel finally found some luck on special teams as a punt return helped put the Greyhounds in the red zone but they settled with a field goal to make the game 15-3. The Warriors responded by once again running for a touchdown and then right before going into the half kicking a field goal making the game 25-3 at halftime. The second half was a major defensive battle as both teams kept each other from putting up any points making it 25-3 going into the fourth. With 5 minutes left in the game, Warren Central ran the ball into the endzone to seal the deal at 32-3. In the end, Warren Central's offense was too much and the Warriors defeated the Greyhounds 32-3 for another great game in this storied rivalry.
