In a clash that defines greatness, Klein Collins and Klein Oak gear up for another chapter in their storied rivalry at ISD Memorial Stadium. As part of the 21st season of the Great American Rivalry Series, these powerhouse teams bring intensity to every yard gained and every point scored.  

With Klein Collins holding a 13-7 edge in the all-time series, the Tigers look to defend their turf against the Panthers in front of a roaring 7800-strong crowd. Last year, Klein Collins secured a hard-fought 20-10 victory over Klein Oak, adding fuel to the fire of this fiercely contested matchup. 

Both schools boast NFL talent in their ranks. From Klein Collins’ Demetri Goodson and Mike Goodson to current star Isiah Spiller. Klein Oak’s Calvin Branch and Ryan McCollum carry the torch for the Panthers. Expect nothing less than electrifying plays and unyielding competition under the Friday night lights.

Jake is an outstanding student, as reflected in his impressive GPA and class rank. He consistently excels in advanced academic courses and demonstrates remarkable dedication as a multi-sport athlete, competing in both football and track and field at Klein Oak. Beyond his academic and athletic achievements, Jake is high respected and well-liked among his peers, embodying the values of a true Klein Oak Man. After graduation, he plans to attend West Point to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering.

Brandon Dujay is the undisputed leader of the Klein Collins football team. Brandon has been the exceptional example of a leader both on and off the field, where Brandon's academic and athletic accomplishments prove his well-rounded ability to impact those around him. Brandon is a 3-year letterman, team captain, named twice to the academic all-district team, unanimous all district center of the 2023 season, member of the National Honors Society, and Vice President of Operations for the FFA. Brandon plans to further his academic and athletic career by playing Rugby at either Texas A&M or Sam Houston State University.

GAME SUMMARY

In an intense Texas high school football matchup, the Klein Oak Panthers defeated the Klein Collins Tigers 28-7. The first quarter started slowly, but the Panthers found the endzone with 4 minutes to go. Following a long run, Klein Collins got on the board with a 45 yard pass from Moraga to Pruett for what would be the Tigers only touchdown of the game. Klein Oak took the momentum back minutes later on a 28 yard touchdown run by Guillory to take a 14-7 lead to the locker room. As the 2nd half started, the Panthers added another touchdown to the scoreboard to take a two score lead into the 4th quarter. The Panthers’ defense stepped up forcing the Tigers to turn over possession on downs, and their offense would add a final touchdown on a 13 yard run to clinch the victory in this great Rivalry!
