GAME SUMMARY
Every season, this game helps decide the conference title and this year was no different. Wrightstown and Freedom put together one of the best games of their respective seasons. Wrightstown came out swinging, moving the ball and converting an early field goal. Freedom responded with a solid drive but missed a field goal wide right. Within seconds, the Tigers took to the air, scoring on an 80-yard pass to make it 10-0 early. Big plays were the theme for these two offenses as the Irish answered with a 55-yard touchdown run of their own, making it 10-7. Another touchdown for each team made it 17-10 Tigers heading into the break. The other side of halftime saw the Irish offense get going, scoring three touchdowns in the second half to take the lead. Their final touchdown saw MVP Drew Quartz, scramble around the back field and throw a 50 yard pass to a wide open receiver to give them the late lead. When it mattered most, the Irish defense got the job done, knocking away the pass that would have won the Tigers the game. The Irish now lead the conference are one win away from the title with their 28-24 victory.
