Mead vs Mt. Spokane

Welcome to Union Stadium in Mead, Washington, the site of the 28th edition of the "Battle of the Bell" between the hometown Mead Panthers and the visiting Mt. Spokane Wildcats. Dating back to 1998, this fierce rivalry has delivered thrilling moments year after year and will be featured as one of over 100 games in the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series. 

In this tightly contested series, Mead holds a narrow 14-13 edge through 27 meetings. Last season, the Panthers broke a four-game losing streak with a dominant 27-7 road victory, reclaiming the lead in the all-time standings and bringing home the coveted Victory Bell. 

The bell symbolizes more than just a win—it stands for tradition, grit, and community pride in one of Washington's most spirited high school football rivalries. 

Circle Thursday, September 26th, as 4,500 roaring fans pack the stands to witness another electric chapter. Will Mt. Spokane even the score and regain momentum, or will Mead build on last year's triumph and extend their lead?

Northside vs Richlands

North Carolina

Welcome to Northside High School Football Field in Jacksonville, North Carolina, where 2,000 fans will gather for the long-awaited return of a local classic between the Northside Monarchs and the Richlands Wildcats. First played in 2004, this rivalry quickly became a staple of coastal Carolina football and is now making its comeback as part of the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series, celebrating over 100 of the nation's most meaningful high school matchups. 

Over 10 total meetings since 2004, Northside has controlled the series 9–1, including a convincing 40–13 victory in their last clash back in 2012. After playing every season from 2004 to 2012, this will be the first renewal of the rivalry in 13 years, reigniting community pride and anticipation for fans and alumni alike. 

Circle September 26th on your calendar as the Monarchs and Wildcats meet once again. Can Richlands flip the script after a decade away, or will Northside continue their winning streak?

Warren Central vs Pike

Indiana

Welcome to Warren Central Stadium, where the Pike Red Devils travel to face the Warren Central Warriors. In a rivalry that began in 2001, this matchup is one of over 100 featured games in the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series. 

Since 2013, the Warriors have dominated the Red Devils, winning 12 of their last 13 matchups. Last season's game saw Warren Central extend their lead in the series with a strong defensive performance, prevailing 18-7. Their defense carried the load by forcing Pike into throwing five interceptions throughout the game. 

Although the Red Devils were disappointed with last season's loss, they have been improving each year since 2023 and are looking to keep that momentum going.

Pueblo Central vs Centennial

Colorado

Welcome to Dutch Clark Stadium in Pueblo, Colorado, where the stage is set for the 125th meeting between the Pueblo Central Wildcats and the Centennial Bulldogs. Known as "The Bell Game," this legendary showdown began in 1892 and is widely recognized as the oldest high school football rivalry west of the Mississippi River. It will be featured as one of over 100 games in the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series. 

Pueblo Central currently holds the lead in the all-time series 62-53-9 and has dominated in recent years, winning six straight matchups—including a commanding 56-0 victory in 2024. Now, Centennial hopes to flip the script and begin a new chapter in this storybook rivalry that spans more than a century.

Tr Trinity vs St. Xavier

Kentucky

Welcome to L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium, where the Trinity Shamrocks host the Saint Xavier Tigers. In a historic rivalry that began in 1956, this matchup is one of over 100 featured games in the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series. 

In their 80 prior meetings, the two teams have been incredibly competitive, and this game is known as one of the largest high school football rivalries in the state of Kentucky. Currently, the Shamrocks hold a narrow 41-37-2 lead over the Tigers, but last season, Saint Xavier was able to defeat Trinity in a defensive battle, 16-10. 

Notable players who have participated in this series include Desmond Ridder (Saint Xavier) and Rondale Moore (Trinity), both of whom are currently in the NFL.

Idaho Falls vs Skyline

Idaho

Welcome to Rausten Stadium on the campus of Idaho Falls High School, as the Tigers take on the Skyline Grizzlies in the always-intense "Emotion Bowl." This heated rivalry is one of over 100 games featured in the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series. 

Skyline currently leads the all-time series 37–23 and has dominated in recent years, winning the last 10 matchups against Idaho Falls, including a 47–0 victory last season. The Grizzlies are poised to be one of the top teams in Idaho this year after reaching the 5A state championship in their previous campaign. 

The 60 meetings between these two teams date back to 1966, and the rivalry is rich with tradition—most notably, the winning team painting the goalposts in their school colors after the game.

Canisius vs St. Joseph’s

New York

Welcome to Koessler Field, where the Canisius Crusaders will host the traveling St. Joseph's Marauders. This historic rivalry began in 1921 and is one of over 100 featured games in the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series. 

These two programs have been incredibly competitive throughout their decorated history. Currently, Canisius holds a narrow lead in the series, with a 51-48-3 record over St. Joseph's. Last season, the Crusaders extended their lead with a thrilling 24-17 victory over the Marauders. Canisius controlled the ground game, rushing for 290 yards and three touchdowns. The Marauders were effective through the air, passing for both of their touchdowns. St. Joseph's will be looking to build on their progress in the 2024 season and prevail on the road, hoping to shift the momentum of the series.
