Welcome to Brandon Valley Stadium in Brandon, South Dakota, where 3,000 fans will gather for one of the state's newest but fiercely contested rivalries between the Harrisburg Tigers and the Brandon Valley Lynx. First played in 2014, this matchup quickly became a highlight on the South Dakota high school football calendar and will be featured in the 23rd season of the Great American Rivalry Series, showcasing over 100 of the nation's greatest high school football rivalries.
Since 2014, Brandon Valley has built a 10–4 series lead, including last year's 24-0 shutout victory. The Lynx dominated early in this rivalry, winning the first eight consecutive matchups, before losing 4 consecutive years to the Tigers. Brandon Valley has restarted their winning streak against Harrisburg, winning this rivalry over the last two seasons. The Lynx had an impressive 2025 Season, posting an 11-1 season record, and took home the class 11AAA state championship. The Lynx will look to take last year's momentum into this year's rivalry game and add a third game to their winning streak against the visiting Harrisburg Tigers.

Since 2004, the two have met 23 times, with Putnam City holding a 15–8 edge, including a dominating 56–14 victory in last year's matchup. Putnam City enters riding a five-game winning streak, while North previously won three straight before the current run. Both programs boast rich traditions and notable alumni — Sam Bradford, the 2008 Heisman Trophy winner, played his high school ball at North, while NFL Hall of Famer Steve Largent (Seahawks) starred at City.

Last season, the Eagles pulled off a gritty win against the Titans in the quarterfinals of the state tournament, with a 31-30 victory. This year's game will be the 84th meeting between these two high school football giants and will be featured in the 23rd season of the Great American Rivalry series, celebrating over 100 of the nation's greatest high school football rivalries.
Over the last five years, Bergen Catholic has defeated Don Bosco three times in the state championship game. Last season, the Don Bosco Ironmen flipped the narrative and stunned the Crusaders in a close game in their regular season match up. The Ironmen went on to shock the Crusader's again, knocking them out of the playoffs in the semifinal matchup.
