Cherry Hill East vs Cherry Hill West

Welcome to Cherry Hill East Stadium in New Jersey, where 3,000 fans will gather for one of South Jersey's most storied high school showdowns—the Battle for the Boot between the Cherry Hill West Lions and the Cherry Hill East Cougars. First played in 1969, this intense crosstown rivalry has delivered decades of passion, pride, and unforgettable Friday nights. This year's clash will be featured in the 23rd season of the Great American Rivalry Series, celebrating over 100 of the nation's greatest high school football rivalries. 

Cherry Hill East leads the all-time series 33–24 and brought the Boot home last season for the second year in a row with an impressive 49–7 victory. The rivalry's history runs even deeper, with NFL quarterback Randall Cunningham once suiting up for East and former NFL linebacker Gary Cobb making his mark at West—adding legendary names to this local classic.

Blue Springs vs Rockhurst

Missouri

Welcome to Peve Stadium, the stage for one of Missouri's most storied high school football rivalries, the Rockhurst Hawklets vs. the Blue Springs Wildcats. This highly anticipated showdown features two of the Show Me state's most successful programs and will be highlighted in the 23rd season of the Great American Rivalry Series. 

The all-time series record sits at 34-27 in Blue Springs Favor. The Wildcats took last year's contest with a final score of 38-29. Last year's contest was action packed, highlighted by a 74-yard scoop and score touchdown from GARS MVP Devin Staley of Blue Springs, along with a Blue Springs pick-six to seal the deal late in the fourth quarter. The 62nd edition of this rivalry is set to be an intense one under the lights of Peve Stadium. 

Both Rockhurst and Blue Springs boast deep football traditions, including multiple state championships and decades of gridiron excellence. Each season, their rivalry draws thousands of fans, and this year promises to be no different. 

Mark your calendars for October 2nd, as more than 5,000 fans are expected to fill the stands in Kansas City for this epic battle. Will Rockhurst reassert its dominance, or will Blue Springs make it three in a row against the Hawklets?

Mount Spokane vs Mead

Washington

Welcome to Union Stadium in Mead, Washington, the site of the 35th edition of the "Battle of the Bell" between the hometown Mt. Spokane Wildcats and the visiting Mead Panthers. Dating back to 1998, this fierce rivalry has delivered thrilling moments year after year and will be featured as one of over 100 games in the 23rd season of the Great American Rivalry Series. 

Going into the 2026 season, this series is tied 17-17. Last season, The Wildcats won a tight battle 16-14 in comeback fashion lead by GARS MVP, Cade Strocsher and bringing home the coveted Victory Bell. 

The bell symbolizes more than just a win—it stands for tradition, grit, and community pride in one of Washington's most spirited high school football rivalries.

Muskegon vs Mona Shores

Michigan

Welcome to Hackley Stadium in Michigan, where 10,000 fans will pack the stands for one of the state's most tradition-rich showdowns between the Mona Shores Sailors and the Muskegon Big Reds. First played in 1965, this rivalry has defined Friday nights along the lakeshore for nearly six decades and will be featured in the 23rd season of the Great American Rivalry Series, celebrating over 100 of the nation's greatest high school football matchups. 

Across 47 total meetings, Muskegon holds a commanding 38–9 series lead, fueled by decades of powerhouse teams and deep playoff runs. Last year, the Muskegon Big Reds defeated the Mona Shores Sailors under the lights at Sailor Stadium to claim the Great American Rivalry Series Trophy. The Big Reds also went on to defeat the Sailors in a high scoring affair playoff game last season. In the fall of 2024, the visiting Sailors shocked the Big Reds, with a 42-27 victory.
