Sun Prairie West vs Sun Prairie East

About one hour outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the stage is set for an exciting clash between the Sun Prairie West High School Wolves and Sun Prairie East High School Cardinals.  

They are set to reignite their young but fierce rivalry on September 20th at Bank of Sun Prairie Stadium. This marquee matchup, part of the 21st season of the Great American Rivalry Series, pits the Wolves against the Cardinals in front of a roaring crowd of over 6,000 fans.  

As 2022 marked the inaugural meeting between the two states of the art institutions in the state of Wisconsin, Sun Prairie East remains undefeated, including a dominant 40-7 victory last year. Since the schools split in 2022, they still carry deep-rooted histories within the area, as the West campus now located only minutes away from East at the original Grove Street campus in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. 

With the Wolves looking to seek their first win and spark positive momentum in the series, the Cardinals aim to continue their dominance over their cross-town rivals.

Cass Tech vs King

Michigan

Welcome to Cass Tech Football Stadium, where the six-time State Champion King Crusaders travel to face the three-time State Champion Cass Tech Technicians in a historic rivalry game located in the heart of Detroit. This Michigan matchup finds itself in the 21st season of the Great American Rivalry Series and promises to be a thriller.

This in-town rivalry began back in 1950, and the King Crusaders maintain a small advantage in the all-time series of these two programs with a 38-34 lead in their 72 meetings. However, last season the Technicians of Cass Tech gave their best effort in evening up the series, with two nail-biting wins over King. Their last matchup concluded with a 24-23 victory for Cass Tech at Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions. King is looking to return to their winning tradition from the 2021-2022 seasons when they won back-to-back State Championships, led by 2-time NFL All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner.

Mark your calendars for September 20th, for a Detroit football showdown, where 4,000 fans will be on the edge of their seats in what should be another close contest.

Shawnee Mission East vs Shawnee Mission South

In a clash that defines Kansas City football, the Shawnee Mission East Lancers and Shawnee Mission South Raiders are set to ignite once again at Shawnee Mission School District South Stadium. 

As part of the 21st season of the Great American Rivalry Series, this storied matchup promises another chapter of thrilling competition. With a rich history dating back to 1996, Shawnee Mission South holds a slight edge in the all-time series, leading 30-23 over their rivals.

Last year’s showdown had the stadium pulsating as these two teams left it all on the field. The atmosphere was electric, reminiscent of Kansas City’s football legacy. Notably, Shawnee Mission South boasts NFL alumni like Rodney Peete, adding to the prestige of this rivalry.

With over 5,000 fans expected, Friday night under the lights will once again showcase why this matchup is a highlight of the season. Get ready for football at its finest because when these teams collide!

Warren Central vs Ben Davis

Mark your calendars for the Circle City Showdown at Warrior Stadium on September 20th, 2024, where the Warren Central Warriors will clash with the Ben Davis Giants in their historic 100th matchup. 

These are two of Indiana’s largest high school programs, uniting their communities for a spirited and longstanding rivalry. Dating back to 1937, Warren Central holds the edge in the series at 58-38-3.  

In their last meeting, Ben Davis secured a thrilling 31-28 victory with a dramatic last-minute field goal, leaving Warren Central with a tough defeat. With an expected attendance of 4,000 fans and the significance of this being the 100th game between the two schools, anticipation is high for this historic rivalry.  

The 21st season of the Great American Rivalry Series eagerly anticipates this matchup, promising an intense battle that Friday night football fans won’t want to miss.

Wauwatosa West vs Wauwatosa East

The “Battle for Tosa” is back on September 20, 2024, as Wauwatosa West hosts Wauwatosa East at Trojan Stadium. Part of the 21st season of the Great American Rivalry Series, this cross-town clash has been the ultimate test of local pride since the rivalry began in 2011. 

Wauwatosa West holds a dominant 10-1 lead in the all-time series, including last year’s 22-8 victory. The Trojans jumped out to a 22-0 lead, with quarterback Ben Kortbein tossing two touchdowns, while Wauwatosa East’s lone score came from a kickoff return. 

With 2,000 fans expected, both teams are fired up for this showdown to decide who truly runs Wauwatosa. Though always competitive, West usually finds a way to come out on top.
