Mark Reichard

St. Edward (OH)

Mark has had a tremendous impact on St. Edward Football. As the only Junior starter on a Senior laden team, he was the second leading tackler on the 1975 squad which finished as the State Runner-up. As a Senior, Mark led the inexperienced squad to a 9 – 1 record and another spot in the State Final Four. In both seasons, he was an integral part of the Big Green Machine and their two victories over St. Ignatius. After weighing numerous offers, he chose to play at the University of Pittsburgh where he lettered for four straight years starting for two. Playing alongside such legendary players as Tony Dorsett and Dan Marino, he capped off his senior season with a National Championship in 1980. After finishing his degree, Mark came back home and has been very successful as the President and CEO of Maroon Group in Avon. His ties to Saint Edward are still strong as his mother was employed there and his son, Jacob, was an Eagle Football player during his four years.
