Thurston McClain

Calvin Coolidge (DC)

Thurston played outside linebacker and defensive end at Coolidge during the rivalry in 1971-73, winning two of those games under Coach Bob Headen. He was named All-Metropolitan in 1973 and played on the DC coach All-Star Team. After graduating Cardozo, he played at Langston University, graduated and moved back to DC where he coached for Cardozo and other surrounding schools. He recently has retired from 34 years of service with the Alexandria City Fire Department.
