McClinton Brown, Jr. is from Indianapolis started teaching and coaching at McKinley Technology High School in 1970. He has won a city track and field championship at McKinley (1978) and coached girls’ basketball at Calvin Coolidge High School for 20 years winning the city league championship three times. He received his Certified Athletic Administrator and he was inducted into The District of Columbia Coaches Hall of Fame for Girls’ Basketball and Boys’ Track and Field in 2006. He was inducted into the National High School Coaches Hall of Fame for Girls’ Basketball in 2006. He served as Athletic Director at McKinley Tech H.S. for three years, Calvin Coolidge H.S. four years and Phelps ACE High School for four years. He is currently retired from teaching a member and Trustee at Covenant Baptist United Church of Christ.
