GREAT AMERICAN RIVALRY SERIES® LAUNCHES BIG 33 FOOTBALL CLASSIC FAN FAVORITE CONTEST
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Great American Rivalry Series® has launched the “Fan Favorite Contest” as part of the 64th annual Big 33 Football Classic, announced today from its headquarters.
In its second year, the “Fan Favorite Contest,” presented by the United States Marines, allows fans to vote for their favorite player selected to the Big 33 Football Classic representing Team Maryland and Team Pennsylvania.
Fans can vote for the player of their choice at greatamericanrivalry.com/big-33-2021/
The player voted from each state as the “Fan Favorite” will be recognized at the game and their school will be awarded a donation on behalf of the United States Marines. The Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association’s (PSFCA) Big 33 game will be played on Monday, May 31 at Central Dauphin School District’s Landis Field in Lower Paxton Township, Dauphin County. Kickoff is 2 p.m. with pre-game fun, family and military events planned, starting in the morning.
The winners of the 2020 Big 33 Fan Favorites were Noah Palm (Cocalico High School (PA)) and Jacob McIlvayne (Catocin High School (MD)). Palm and McIlvayne combined for more than 12,000 votes and earned a monetary donation to their respective schools.
The Great American Rivalry Series®, now in its 18th year, shines the spotlight on top high school football rivalries across the nation. Since 2004, the Series has covered 937 elite high school football rivalry games across 44 states, highlighting exceptional athletes, hometown pride and decades of competition.
