Dennis began his career as a United States Marines Officer stationed with the 1st Marine Division. Captain Lampley left the Marines to begin his high school coaching career and has now been a member of the Trinity football community for 15 years where he has led the Shamrocks as both a coach and athletics director, always keeping in mind the integrity of the game and the history of the school and sport. A three time state championship coach, Dennis and Alan Dunhoff were instrumental in the growth of the Great American Rivalry Series when in 2007 they welcomed it to the annual Trinity vs St Xavier game and encouraged other schools nationwide to participate in the Rivalry Series. We are pleased to recognize this pioneer in high school sports with his induction into the 2015 class of Great American Rivalry Series Hall of Fame.
