CLASS OF

Matt Dillon

Good Counsel (MD)

Matt was a member of St. John’s Class of 1969 and was instrumental in winning both a football and baseball championship for the Cadets. He helped lead the efforts in securing the conference championship his senior year. As a running back and defensive back he always made key contributions to the team. Unfortunately, earlier this year, Matt lost his most difficult battle ever when he succumbed to brain cancer. Since then St John’s has established an award in his honor to recognize the best two-sport athlete ever to play football for the Cadets. We honor Matt and his legacy tonight as he is inducted into the Great American Rivalry Hall of Fame. Accepting the award was Matt’s wife Linda and his two sons Chris and Jamie.
