CLASS OF 2018

Geoff Perry

Middletown (DE)

In November 1966, Geoff Perry made his mark during the very first Middletown-Salesianum football game. Middletown brought a 44-game winning streak into the game but Salesianum had a long history of gridiron success and a 30 pound per player size advantage over the Cavaliers. On a rainy night, the day after Thanksgiving, in front of a crowd estimated at 6,000, Mr. Perry caught the game winning extra point pass that continued the streak and assured the '66 team's place in Cavalier history. Geoff still lives in Middletown and is an active supporter of Middletown athletics. When asked about the game, Mr. Perry said the team's success was due to the support and strength of the entire community.
