William Carroll

McGill-Toolen (AL)

William is a lifelong resident of Mobile as he attended St Mary’s and McGill-Toolen. He was a star football player winning Super 22 honors in 1988. William played both sides of the ball, playing tight end and free safety for the Yellow Jackets. He continued his football career at Florida A&M where he was a 4-year starter and a two-time All-American defensive back. The Mobile native finished his career with 23 pass interceptions, tying a school record with 9 interceptions in 1991, earning first-team All-MEAC and FCS All-American honors. William is married to the former Johanne Trenard, and they are the parents to William Carroll III, Julia and Morgan Carroll.
