Chris played in the Lynden- Ferndale rivalry all four years he was in the Lion football program. The Lions re-started their rivalry with Ferndale in 1993 and won three of their first four meetings. Chris started on the offensive line on three of those teams and was selected to the AP All-State 1st team each of those seasons. He was team captain during his Junior and Senior seasons. He went on to play at Eastern Washington University, were he was named All-Big Sky 1st team 2000 and2001. He was selected to two 1st Team All-Academic Team four times while playing for the Eagles as well as to the CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII Team in 2001. Chris was selected to play in Paradise Bowl College All Star game in 2002. Chris went on to play in Arena Football League for the Detroit Fury and Colorado Crush. Chris followed up his playing days to join the Lynden Lion’s coaching staff in 2003.
