Dan Andrews

Dan Andrews ’86 had an outstanding athletic career at St. Edward playing football and basketball all four years. He participated in the St. Edward-St. Ignatius rivalry during his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons. Dan was a two-year starter at tailback and led the team to a 10-0 victory over St. Ignatius in his junior year. As team captain in 1985, he led the Eagles to a 12-0 victory over St. Ignatius by carrying the ball 27 times for 177 yards and one touchdown. During his four years at St Edward, he never lost a game to St. Ignatius. Dan was inducted into the St. Edward Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000 and still holds the single season record for most carries in a season with 289. Dan was a four-year starter at Baldwin Wallace College, rushing for over 5,000 yards in his career as a tailback and named All-American in his senior season. Dan was also recognized as an Academic All-American at Baldwin Wallace, one of the few players to receive All-American status for both football and academics.
