Atlas Herrion

Daphne (AL)

Atlas played in the Daphne-Foley rivalry in all 4 years while in school. As a captain of the 1998 squad, Atlas led his team to a 21-0 victory over Foley, a 9-1 season and into the 3rd round of the playoffs. In the Foley contest, Atlas anchored a stout offensive line that allowed no sacks and paved the way for 2 Trojan backs that had over a hundred yards a piece in the contest. Atlas went to play for Dodge City Community College, where he was a two-time All-American; then went on to star for the University of Alabama. In 2003, Atlas played in the last ever Blue/Gray All-Star game in Montgomery, Alabama. Atlas then went on to play in the NFL where he played 4 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, Cleveland Browns and the Houston Texans. After Atlas’ NFL career, he then moved on to play in the Arena Football League. He played for the Arizona Rattles, San Jose Saber Cats, and recently the San Antonio Talon. In his off season Atlas works at Fairhope High School as an OCS teacher and is the founder of TrenchU, which specializes in offensive lineman skills.
