Matt White starred as an offensive tackle for the Dons in 1988 and 1989 when the Dons took both games in the Rivalry Series. Matt secured the 1989 victory with a fumble recovery to solidify the win. Matt was a 1st Team All-League selection and returned to the Dons as a coach immediately after graduating from the University of San Diego High School. Matt later became coach at Marian Catholic winning 2 CIF Championships. Matt returned to Cathedral Catholic as a coach after 18 years at Marian/Mater Dei Catholic. He has been a part of 2 CIF titles and a State Championship with the Dons. Matt currently teaches and coaches at Cathedral Catholic where his two sons attend.
