The battle between Whitney Young and Morgan Park was a matchup several years in the making. These are two of the tops teams in the CPL and they played like it Friday night. Both defenses started strong, forcing multiple early punts and turnovers. The Mustangs jumped out to an 8-0 lead on a quick slant on 4th and goal to end the first quarter and they never looked back. Their stout defense shut down the Dolphins offense, forcing turnovers on back-to-back possessions, making it hard to move the ball. The Mustang offense kept churning out yards behind feature running back and game MVP Reggie Gray Jr who had over 150 yards and two scores. Morgan Park walked away with a 28-12 victory over the previously undefeated Dolphins of Whitney Young.

Savion is the hardest worker in our program! He plays multiple sports (Football, track, Water polo, volleyball) along with having a job, traveling to school the bus and walking. never complains, always reliable and maintains the 2nd highest GPA on the team. He will continue his education in the Ivy League.
