After 2020’s matchup was canceled by West Monroe late in the season due to COVID-19 concerns, the Ruston Bearcats hope a year off and home field advantage will help them do what no Bearcat team has done against the Rebels since 1990: win. 2019 gave the Bearcats a taste of what could have been, but the Rebels ultimately prevailed 21-14 to keep their 32 game win streak in the rivalry alive, as well as their 24th straight district title. West Monroe has notched 97 consecutive district wins, but Ruston will look to nip their streak at a likely 101 games in the season finale.
