One of the best known and fiercest high school rivalries in North Carolina is taking action once again this coming weekend as the Pisgah Bears take on the Tuscola Mountaineers in the “Haywood County Championship.” These schools located less than 9 miles apart from each other began their rivalry in 1966. The Pisgah Bears are currently riding a 9-game winning streak over the Tuscola Mountaineers following last year’s thrilling 21-20 victory. Will last year’s MVP, Caden Robinson, be able to repeat last year’s performance for another Pisgah win, or will a new face emerge for Tuscola to break up the streak and begin one of their own?
