Troy extended its dominance in Ohio’s oldest high school football rivalry Friday night, defeating Piqua 28–7 at Troy Memorial Stadium in front of a packed crowd for the Great American Rivalry Series, presented by the U.S. Army. After the teams went into halftime tied 7–7, senior quarterback Aiden “AK” Kirkpatrick took over, rushing for more than 120 yards and scoring two second-half touchdowns while also completing 12 of 13 passes for 137 yards. Landen Adkins added another score to seal the win as Troy’s defense shut out Piqua after the break. Despite a strong 158-yard rushing effort from Piqua’s Debo Knisley, the Indians couldn’t sustain drives against a stout Trojan defense. The victory marks Troy’s third straight win in the storied rivalry and pushes the Trojans to 3-1 on the season, while Piqua falls to 1-3.
