In one of the country’s greatest rivalries, the St. Xavier Tigers snapped a seven-year losing streak to the Trinity Shamrocks by defeating them 28-13 as thousands of fans endured the rain at Papa John’s Stadium.

Michael entered St. X as a Xavier Scholar and has maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA during his time in the Advanced Placement curriculum. A four-year member of the Tiger football program, Michael is Treasurer of both the Student Activities Council and Ryken Service Club, a member of the National Honor Society, and was recently recognized as a Commended Student by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. During the summer of 2014 he was chosen to participate in Kentucky’s Governor’s Scholar Program, a five-week program for students who demonstrate excellence in academics, a commitment to leadership and extracurricular activities, as well as a dedication to community service. Michael is joined by his parents Tom and Diane Sehlinger. Presenting the award is Sergeant Mountz. Congratulations Michael!!

Andrew Deye
Trinity
Andrew is a four-year football and soccer player at Trinity. He was selected to the Academic All-state Team for soccer and is ranked as a 4.5 star place-kicker by a national recruiting service. Andrew is a senior class officer, serves as an officer of the National Honor Society, and has spent many hours tutoring students as a member of the Beta Club. He plans on pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Presenting the award is Sergeant Bankston. Congratulations Andrew!!
