Kris is a straight A student who earned AP Scholar with honors last year and has twice been awarded the Envision Scholar Athlete award. Throughout high school Kris has also participated in cross country and soccer and is a member of the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, iLead, National Honor Society, Key Club and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. After high school he plans to attend Valdosta State University to major in education so he can teach and coach in the future.
Brandt Herndon

Thomasville

Brandt is a 4 year Scholar Athlete that has participated in Football and Golf all 4 years. He is currently a member of the GHSA Student-Athlete Advisory Council. Brandt is an active member of the National Honor Society, an AP Scholar, a member of the Key Club, an Eagle Scout, and a member of the First Methodist Church. After Graduation, Brandt plans to attend the University of Georgia and is currently undecided on his major.

GAME SUMMARY

In a highly anticipated and iconic rivalry match in Georgia, the stakes were notably high as the Bulldogs and Thomas County faced off on the football field. The Bulldogs kicked off the game on a strong note, securing the first touchdown of the night. However, Thomas County's Trey Brenton responded with a 10-yard rushing touchdown, putting his team in the lead with a score of 14-7 with 7 minutes remaining in the first half. Thomas County's momentum didn't wane as they continued to make an impact on the scoreboard. Their offense scored two more touchdowns quickly with a strong rushing attack and added a field goal after opening up their passing game with a deep ball that set the successful field goal attempt. As the first half concluded, the Yellow Jackets of Thomas County had established a commanding 31-7 lead. Carrying their lead throughout the third and fourth quarters, the Yellow Jackets maintained complete control throughout the game resulting in a dominant performance on the field and a convincing victory with a final score of 45-7 on the scoreboard. It was the Yellow Jackets night this year in this great rivalry and bodes well for their 2023 goal of another deep run into the playoffs.
