This game is a game between the only two schools in Kansas City that share the same school colors. Center is an inner city public school and St. Pius X is a private school. Due to rain and thunderstorms all day, the game was delayed by about an hour. The weather played a huge part in what the final attendance was, as Center’s Athletic Director was expecting several thousand people at the game. However, all 305 people in attendance were very loud and vocal in supporting Center to a 35-0 win. A huge pregame carnival was canceled due to the weather as well.
