Welcome to Robert J Dinallo Stadium, where 5,500 fans will gather for one of the Garden State’s most storied and hard-fought rivalries between the St. Joseph Regional Green Knights and the Bergen Catholic Crusaders. First played in 1965, this matchup has become a fall tradition that unites communities and will be featured in the 23rd season of the Great American Rivalry Series, celebrating over 100 of the nation’s greatest high school football rivalries.

After 52 meetings, Bergen Catholic holds the advantage in the all-time series, 33–19, although St. Joseph Regional made some ground with a narrow 43-42 win. But beyond the wins and losses, this rivalry is defined by its legacy of NFL excellence—Brian Cushing (Texans), a standout linebacker and Pro Bowler, once led the Crusaders, while the McCourty twins, Devin (Patriots) and Jason (Titans), went on from St. Joseph Regional to become NFL champions and household names.

Circle October 24th on your calendar as these two powerhouse programs clash once again. Will St. Josephs extend their win streak to two? or can Bergen Catholic reclaim bragging rights?

We Know Friday Nights.
