SouthWest Edgecombe and Tarboro faced off in an intra-conference battle. Both teams boasted strong defenses making it a low scoring affair through the first half. However, Tarboro got on the board just before halftime with a QB run, taking an 8-0 lead into the break. The Vikings came out with the same intensity to start the second half too, scoring on their opening possession to make it 14-0. Their defense continued to hold strong as the game got close to the 4th. With 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, the game was stopped due to a safety concern within the stadium. The game was not resumed and Tarboro was declared the winner taking home a 14-0 victory.
