This season’s battle between South Western and New Oxford came down to the end once again. This division rivalry features two strong defenses and they showed on Friday night. Both defenses played well, forcing stop after stop to start the game. But New Oxford QB and Scholar Athlete, Luke Frey put the team on his back, leading the Colonials on two scoring drives to take a 14-0 lead going into the 4th quarter. South Western scored early to bring them within a score coming down to the wire. But the Colonial defense stood strong with three stops, sealing their 14-7 victory on the road. Luke Frey was recognized as the MVP, leading the New Oxford passing attack past the tough Mustang defense.

Kenny has worked extremely hard on the field an off the field. He is a 4.0 student, as well as a member of the Future Business Leaders of America and the National Business Honors Society. His hard work on the field earned the respect of his teammates who voted for him to be a team captain this season.
Luke Frey

New Oxford

Luke Frey is a standout student-athlete who excels both on the field and in the classroom. As a three-sport varsity starter and team captain, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership, showcased through earning the Colonial Award for embodying the core values of the football program. Academically, Luke has maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA, is a member of the National Honor Society, and serves as the Class President for the New Oxford Class of 2026. Beyond athletics and academics, Luke is actively involved in leadership and service throughout the community.
