Welcome to Spiegelberg Stadium, where the South Medford Panthers will host the traveling North Medford Black Tornado. In a rivalry that began in 1986, this Oregon matchup is one of over 100 featured games in the 23rd season of the Great American Rivalry Series.

Currently, North Medford holds the advantage in recent postseason play, including a 31-13 victory in the 2024 Class 6A State Championship. However, South Medford responded in the 2025 regular season with a dominant 30-0 shutout win in the 40th edition of the “Black and Blue Bowl,” continuing one of Oregon’s most intense and evenly matched rivalries.

Known as the “Black and Blue Bowl,” this rivalry has become a centerpiece of the Rogue Valley football scene, frequently drawing packed crowds to Spiegelberg Stadium in one of the state’s most anticipated annual showdowns.

Mark your calendar for October 30th, as thousands of fans will be on the edge of their seats for another exciting installment of the “Black and Blue Bowl.”
