Compared to what the Emotion Bowl had been the past few years, this one stayed competitive up until the final few minutes. Idaho Falls, who had not been competitive in the last few Emotion Bowls, came out of the gate and scored quick in the first quarter. Skyline showed it was not going to be easy, by answering with a touchdown of its own, driving the length of the field in under a minute. The game continued to stay close with Skyline taking a touchdown lead into halftime after scoring a touchdown with less than 10 seconds left in the half. Skyline took a double digit lead for the first time all game, which proved to be insurmountable for the Tigers of Idaho Falls. Scholar Athlete, Kyler Morgan (RB), and MVP Dylan Bialas (QB) along with slot back, Lukas Herrmann combined for 398 yards, leading the Grizzlies to their fourth straight Emotion Bowl win.
