The Idaho Falls Tigers pulled away from the Skyline Grizzlies in the 2nd half in the 49th edition of the “Emotion Bowl” on Friday night in Idaho Falls, ID on the campus of Idaho Falls HS in front of more than 7,000 fans. This rivalry is always the talk of the town and driving around Idaho Falls you can see what it means to the town.

GAME SUMMARY

One of the great traditions of this game is the winning team gets to paint the goal posts their school colors. With the goal posts being the light blue of Skyline the Tigers from Idaho Falls were determined to have the right to bring out the orange spray cans. Idaho Falls took the opening kickoff and scored a TD to take the lead early. The Tigers went on to score two more touchdowns to take a 22-0 lead. Skyline didn’t back down and rattled off 16 straight points to make it 22-16 at the break. Idaho Falls grabbed the momentum back early in the 2nd half and won the game by 20 points, 44-24. MVP Clayton Powell, WR from Idaho Falls scored two touchdowns and was named the games MVP.
