Welcome to Dr. R.L. Peters Jr. Field at Dragon Stadium — home of the Round Rock Dragons — where 6,000 fans will pack the stands to watch Round Rock High School host the Westwood Warriors in the 47th meeting of the “Battle for the Bell.” This game is one of over 100 featured matchups in the 23rd season of the Great American Rivalry Series.

This historic rivalry dates back to 1981, when Round Rock High School split into two schools, igniting a fierce Texas football showdown. The bell played for was originally a railroad bell housed in the original Round Rock High School and has since become the coveted trophy in this annual clash.

Round Rock leads the all-time series 26–21, having won the last eight meetings — including last year’s 42-7 victory at home.

Fans are encouraged to mark their calendars for October 16 at 7:00 PM, as another chapter in this intense rivalry is written. Round Rock looks to make it nine straight wins, while Westwood hopes to get back on track and earn its 22nd victory in the series.

We Know Friday Nights.

GAME SUMMARY

Round Rock put together an impressive performance against Westwood, with the offense coming alive as the game went on. From the opening kickoff, both teams brought energy and intensity. Westwood's defense played great for most of the game, making key stops and keeping Round Rock's offense in check. However, as the game progressed, Round Rock found its rhythm and began making explosive plays on offense. The passing game produced several touchdowns, with receivers making big plays downfield and helping the offense build momentum. Round Rock also found success on the ground, putting together some great rushing touchdowns to complement the passing attack. Westwood continued to compete throughout the game and made its mark with a huge kick return that created an exciting moment and showcased its big-play ability. Although Westwood's defense held strong early on, Round Rock's offense really turned on toward the end of the second half, putting together a series of big plays that changed the momentum. By the final whistle, Round Rock's combination of explosive passing touchdowns and strong rushing plays had made the difference in an exciting matchup between the two teams.
