The Las Vegas vs. Rancho game is a matchup between the two oldest public high schools in Las Vegas. This game has been dubbed the “battle for the bone” as a bone is presented to the winning team following the game. This matchup has been very one sided as Las Vegas has won the last 21 matchups between the two schools.

Jordan Betts

Dedicated, focused young man that has shown constant improvement and loyalty to the Rancho Football program. Jordan has been apart of the program for 4 years and has continued to strive for excellence even though the program has struggled. Jordan has aspirations to attend college and become a mechanical engineer. I’m sure he will accomplish his goals. His parents have done a great job with this young man.

This game was essentially over from the beginning as Las Vegas High School was up 37-0 at the half and the running clock had already began. Despite the score the Rancho fan base stayed into the game and really cared about trying to win the fitness challenge between the two schools. The second half was much of the same as Las Vegas held on to win 51-0. Rancho has been a school who has been decimated by redistricting , even with that being said the kids never gave up and the coach absolutely loved and thanked the ARMY for being at this rivalry game.
