This Rivalry game, otherwise known as the “Crosstown Showdown” was the talk of the town, with the Port Huron Big Reds playing the Port Huron Northern Huskies. The night was a special night as well, with the re-dedication of Memorial Field to the local military World War Two veterans. Both school bands presented a pre-game show honoring the veterans and all military in attendance. The Marine Color Guard escorted the veterans onto the field during the National Anthem.
