They are only separated by 8 miles, and these miles result in a big separation between the two schools and a great desire to win the Rivalry game each year. The series remains close in Ohio’s oldest rivalry with Troy leading the series 61-59 in this 127th year. The Troy Trojans came into this year’s game having won the last four games over arch rival Piqua.

GAME SUMMARY

The Trojans set the tone for the night as they had an interception in the opening drive that led to their first touchdown. They led 13-0 at the end of the first half. Piqua mounted it's only drive after the half and marched to the red zone. But a botched snap was recovered by Troy that led to another touchdown and nailed the coffin shut. Final score was Troy 27-7.
