The Pickens vs. Easley rivalry is set to be held this year in the newly renovated W.A. “Bill” Carr Stadium home to the Easley Green Wave. This rivalry dates back to 1923 with plenty of history to fuel it for the future. These cross-city rivals will play for bragging rights in their season opener. In Recent years, this matchup has been all Green Wave, but this season Pickens has the chance to rewrite history.

William Carter Brumfield

Easley High School

William has gone above and beyond in sports. He has lettered in football, track, and cross country. This past summer, he attended Boy's State. Athletic achievements just scratch the surface of William's awards. The National Honor Society student also takes part in the Spanish Honor Society and interact club. Moving forward, he plans to major in packaging science when he goes off to college.
Mason LaMance

Pickens High School

Beta Club and HOSA member, Mason LaMance achieved second place in the 2018 Physical Therapy Competition. He is a two-time captain of the football team and recipient of the Varsity Soccer All-region honors award for Region 1, Class 4A.

GAME SUMMARY

After falling down 14-0 early in the second quarter, the Easley Green Wave regrouped to earn a 31-14 win over Pickens. Senior Dylan Lyda rushed for 3 TD's and 200 yards on the night, solidifying his MVP performance.
