Although Hampton won the toss and began the game with the ball, they were unable to get off to the start they would need to put up a fight against the more athletic Phoebus team. The game was very competitive with a score of 6-0 at the half after Phoebus put together a nice drive capped off by a long TD run. The second half was much of the same however; The Crabbers were unable to move the ball most of the night and the Phantoms tacked on another TD off a 15 yard pass on fourth down. Phoebus was lead to a 19-8 victory over he Hampton Crabbers by Running Back and MVP Jomari Becnel who went for 217 yards.
