There was much anticipation this year for the annual “Battle of Five-Forks Trickum”. This classic Georgia rivalry dates back to 1982 and, located just six miles from each other, a lot of players on both teams have grown up together. Brookwood and Parkview both had 5-2 records going into the game, and with both teams equally stacked, this game would prove to be a true exciting rivalry.

Parkview gets possession but turns over the ball with a Brookwood interception. With a 27 yard pass, Brookwood gets a touchdown and takes the lead, 17-10 at the half. Brookwood receives after the half but neither team scores in the 3rd. It’s not until a minute is left in the game that Parkview scores a touchdown and ties the game 17 all. The game goes into overtime and Brookwood gets the touchdown, 24-17. Parkview takes advantage of their chance and scores a touchdown, only to miss the extra point. Brookwood wins in overtime over Parkview, 24-23.
