The Oak Ridge Trojans easily defeated the Ponderosa Bruins 41-0 on Friday night at Ponderosa High School. This game routinely is one of the biggest in the Sacramento area and emotions run high. The students from both schools grew up in the same area and know each other very well. Add in many alumni come back for this game and the atmosphere makes for a great rivalry.

GAME SUMMARY

Oak Ridge scored first on a 29 yard touchdown pass with 7:00 remaining in the first quarter. An interception by Oak Ridge set up another touchdown in the first quarter, this one a 25 yard touchdown pass. Two more scores in the 2nd quarter gave the Trojans a lead of 28-0 at halftime over the Bruins. Two more touchdowns in the 2nd half gave us the final score of 41-0. Sophomore quarterback Ian Book was named the MVP.
