The annual battle between Sachem North and Northport is one of the most respected rivalries in the Division I Power Conference in Suffolk County, Long Island. The Sachem North Flaming Arrows sought to avenge last year’s 33-10 loss to the Tigers, yet coming in as the favorite, it took all their power to hold off the Tigers, 34-20.

Sachem North Senior Running Back Malik Pierre was named the Great American Rivalry Series “Most Valuable Player”. He rushed 17 times for 200 yards and three touchdowns, including the game clinching score. Senior Wide Receiver/Cornerback Kevin Bragaglia added a punt return for a touchdown.
