The rain that fell before the game may have dampened the fields, but it did not dampen the spirits of the 5,000+ fans who packed the stands to see the intense South vs. North rivalry.

The recipient from North Medford High School is Jeremy Scottow, a 2-year wide receiver and defensive back letterman. In 2009, he made 2nd team All-Conference on offense. He is also a 1-year letterman on the baseball team. He is a member of torch honor society and was on last year’s prom court. Escorting Jeremy were his parents, David and Susan Scottown.
Andrew Phillips

South Medford

The winner from South Medford is Andrew Phillips, Andrew is a 3-year defensive back letterman with a 3.8 GPA. He is a 2-year letterman in hockey and a 2-year letterman in baseball. Last season, he received All Conference recognition for 2009. Andrew plans to attend a 4-year university and study medicine. Escorting Andrew were his parents, Jeannie and Darryl Phillips.


South Medford got on the board first with a touchdown at 8:04 in the first quarter and followed with an extra point kick taking the lead with 7-0. While North tried to move the ball, South's defense held out strong throughout the first quarter and into the second. South left the first half with a slim lead at 10-7. South kept the ball on the ground and ground out multiple additional touchdowns, making the final score 31-7 and taking the victory.
