GAME SUMMARY

West Monroe and Neville is a classic rivalry for a reason. These teams talk a lot, but back it up, and Friday night was no different. West Monroe controlled the game on the ground from the start. Great American Rivalry Series MVP Cam Wright dominated running the ball against the Tigers' defense. The Rebels used this ground attack to gain a first half lead, but the Tigers from Neville started to cut into that lead in the second half. With the score 22-14 West Monroe, the Rebels were looking for a momentum killing play, and that's when Cam Wright stepped back up to convert a crucial 3rd and 7 in the fourth quarter. The first down all but killed Neville's chances of a comeback and eventually wrapped up a 29-14 victory for the Rebels.
