On Thursday night before a sell-out crowd and with a national television audience watching the game, Yellow Jackets took on their cross town rivals, the Murphy Panthers. Both teams were prepared to do all they could to insure a victory.

GAME SUMMARY

Both Toolen and Murphy turned the ball over on multiple occasions in the first half and a close Toolen halftime lead of 12-7 turned on the strength of Watson's legs in the second half. Watson, the MVP, ran for 141 yards on 24 carries and two second half touchdowns and was able to turn the tide of the game. Murphy didn't give up easily, but the Yellow Jackets still carried a 23-18 lead at the end.
