As the original game that started the Great American Rivalry Series, the Manual vs. Male game is always a much-anticipated match up. Called the “Old Rivalry” the game has been played since 1893.
HALL OF FAME
The first half was marked with a few key turnovers by both Male and Manual as both teams grappled for control of the ball and of the game. Toward the end of the half, Male took the ball on a 35 yard march, which ended with a rushing touchdown by Ronjay Morris. Manual countered with a touchdown as well as a field goal, leading to a 10-7 lead at halftime. The third quarter started out with a 75 yard kickoff return by Romine of Manual. After the score, it was a third quarter for the ages with both teams trading off touchdowns. Manual ended up dominating the second half, however, and Dishion Romine helped lead the team to a 23-14 victory over Male.
