Lovett makes the short travel this season to renew one of Atlanta’s best football rivalries. The series is dubbed as the “Battle of Buckhead”, with the schools only being separated by 3 miles. The rivalry that has been played consistently since the mid 90’s is always a fierce matchup with the last 4 meetings being split evenly. Lovett looks to rebound after last meetings defeat with a score of 31-21 in Westminster’s favor. Westminster leads the series 20-12.
James has been a member of National Honors Society and Principal's List each semester while at Lovett High School. On and off the field, James is an all around scholarly athlete.
Hunter is a senior linebacker for the Westminster Wildcats. Even as a 2-sport athlete, he holds a 99.87/99.53 weighted GPA.
A last second touchdown to end the first half pulled Lovett even with Westminster, 7-7. The Wildcats defense made a statement during the second half, holding the Lions scoreless en route to claiming victory in the "Battle of Buckhead."
